Old time refers to the rural traditional music and song from the South and Midwest. Played primarily on acoustic instruments, fiddle , banjo, guitar. An old time band looks like a really redneck bluegrass band. Repertoire is a grab bag of folk songs, old popular songs, gospel, ballads, cowboy songs and early bluegrass played on a variety of instruments.
